National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6th and ends on May 12th, Florence Nightingale’s birthday. These permanent dates enhance planning and position National Nurses Week as an established recognition event. As of 1998, May 8 was designated as National Student Nurses Day, to be celebrated annually. And as of 2003, National School Nurse Day is celebrated on the Wednesday within National Nurses Week (May 6-12) each year. The nursing profession has been supported and promoted by the American Nurses Association (ANA) since 1896.
We are so lucky to have Staci as our Director of Wellness. She is very creative, hardworking, and takes care of her employees! She has a lot of knowledge of our Independent Living regulations, and I feel the community is safe in her hands. Staci has genuinely devoted her time to ensuring our residents are cared for by covering empty shifts, coming in early, and always answering her phone.
Our families appreciate how friendly and knowledgeable Staci is. They feel comfortable coming to her with any concerns about their loved ones. Our residents love that the wellness team is always down to have fun. They enjoy it when they can join in on activities and how caring they are to them.
I want to shout out to our wellness team and say thank you for all you do for Cedar Trails. We appreciate everyone so much. Cedar Trails would be at a loss without you. You all work so hard and it does not go unnoticed. Everyone is amazing and you all go above and beyond for our residents.
The wellness team stepped up to support the community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
I have never seen a team pull together and work so hard as when Covid hit our community. Our wellness team was brave and unstoppable!
