Creating a Thriving Workplace Culture

In today’s fast-paced world of healthcare, we realize the importance of creating a positive workplace culture. Here at Cedar Trails Senior Living, we understand to achieve this culture, employees must trust their workplace.

Each August, Cedar Trails participates in the Great Place to Work Survey. This is a time when staff can be open and honest about their feedback. A third party collects the data, ensuring it remains truly anonymous. It is so important for us to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly to know what we can work on to truly make our community a great place to work.

As the Business Office Director, I make it a priority to promote employee appreciation, consistently taking time to recognize our hard-working team members. We find creative ways to celebrate their accomplishments, often surprising staff with their favorite treats to add a personal touch to our appreciation.

We believe when done right, making work a fun place creates a workplace culture that helps people thrive, promotes retention, and makes us a great place to work, which in turn makes us a great place to live.
