There is no doubt that events and celebrations pull people together. Here at Cedar Trails Senior Living, we believe Halloween is a perfect time to build up our team and encourage workplace camaraderie. It helps create traditions, provides opportunities for intergenerational fun, and builds positive morale within the team. Plus, it’s a great holiday to let the team break loose and plan some seasonal fun!
This year, our team is holding numerous and different activities. We are starting with an employee chili cook off, followed by a trunk-or-treat, with the residents helping decorate our trunks. We are also asking all employees to participate in a spooky cookie bake off. Of course, we are going to continue our tradition of going to the pumpkin patch and grabbing pumpkins.
Traditions like these are important, bringing the residents together with the employees. Coming together as a team having fun brings comfort and memories of their old traditions.
Celebrating Halloween at work can be a great opportunity to have fun while team building and improving company culture. As the Assistant Executive Director, I love having these built-in opportunities to have fun and grow together as a team!
